Family + Matrimonial Law in New York + New Jersey

Caring, compassionate and experienced legal advocacy.

My practice focuses exclusively on family and matrimonial law.  Having litigated divorce and family law matters for many years, I have extensive experience working with clients in crisis and in high-conflict matters, including domestic violence.

Family + Matrimonial Law

Family law and Divorce issues are notoriously emotional for the parties and the children involved. The process can take too long and can cost too much. In these tough economic times, less expensive, less adversarial, less traumatic, and more efficient  solutions are essential.

I highly recommend Rhonda, who helped me navigate a very difficult and contentious divorce process. She was responsive, attentive, patient, and provided clear insights and counsel throughout the process.

“Pets are more than property”

I was fortunate to represent the Plaintiff in the landmark Manhattan case, Travis v. Murray, 977 N.Y.S.2d 621 (Sup. Ct. New York Cty. 2013), establishing that pets are more than property in a matrimonial matter. Several Courts have since followed Judge Cooper's "best for all concerned" standard and as the law on pet custody has evolved, some have moved toward allowing "co-parenting" the family pet.

If you need a caring, compassionate, and experienced attorney who can help you move through separation, divorce, and life beyond, we should meet to discuss your matter.

I seek to resolve legal issues in an amicable and respectful way, while always providing my clients with strong advocacy.
